2 months!

Avery 8 weeks old - April 20
Avery with Grandma Stout - April 2nd

Avery with Grandma Ahlstrom - April 18

I can't believe that Avery is two months old. The time has gone by so quickly and now I go back to work on Monday. My leave has been great. We have enjoyed visits from both Seth's parents and my parents. Our mothers have both been able to spend some extra time here which has been really enjoyable not to mention extremely helpful.
The wonderful blessing about going back to work is that I will only be working 3 days a week. It will be really hard to leave Avery but I am also looking forward to getting back to work. My only concern is that I can get my mind straight at work. It is amazing how pregnancy and motherhood can fry your brain. Two weeks ago I had a doctor's appointment and ended up wearing to different shoes, at least they were the same color. I didn't even notice until I was in the room with the nurse. I even had to wait longer than usual in waiting room. I starting laughing so hard that I had to show her. She got a good chuckle. Then two days ago I had a follow up visit, to check my blood pressure. Luckily I got off my blood pressure medication two weeks ago and it is stabilizing. Well that day I locked my keys in my car. We have only one key to my car so I had to call a locksmith. He had the door open in about 1 minute and $40 later Avery and I were on our way.

I see a lot of you in Avery. So cute. I have some bad news...my brain has NEVER returned after pregnancy and this roller coaster called motherhood :) Good luck with going back to work, so nice that you only have to go in for 3 days a week.

What a fun post! That Avery is just tooooo cute! Motherhood does fry your brain, I don't think I have one left most days! Good luck going back to work. Do you have a sitter or will your schedule & Seth's differ so one of you will be home with her? It was hard for me initially going back to work after having Riley, but once I got to the office, things went back to normal. Of course I still missed him, but it worked out & he had a great sitter who treated him like one of her own. We still stay in contact with her & do things frequently now that I'm not working. Sorry about the long post, but just know it will all work out!
