Kind People

I had a work meeting in Salt Lake so we decided to have me take Avery down on my quick trip. It was quite an adventure flying for the first time with a baby. But I have to say it is amazing how many nice people are out there. I was extremely grateful on Thursday afternoon when on my way there I saw that one of my fellow Zions Bank employee Lori was on my flight. She was so helpful and great company for the way down.

On my return flight there were several people who lent a helping hand. I was waiting in the security line and Avery was crying. She was hungry and tired, not a good combination. This one lady traveling with her daughter informed me that I could move over to the faster lane for the elite travelers and she helped grab her baby carrier and just took charge helping me move through the line. Then she walked me all the way to my gate which happened to be at the end of terminal and not close to her gate.

I was able to board the very full plane early and get all settled in. I watched as all the other passengers boarded the plane and thought to myself. I bet everyone is thinking I hope my seat isn't next to this lady traveling with her baby. When my seatmate arrived he was a kind easy going older gentleman who smiled as he sat down and commented on how cute Avery was.

As I left the plane I picked up her car seat/carrier and headed down the terminal to the baggage claim. I keep Avery in my arms to help distribute the weight but I clearly had my hands full. Another nice gentleman offered his assistance and ended up carrying the car seat/carrier to the baggage claim with me.

I am so grateful that there are kind folks out there who are willing to lend a hand. And just because pictures are so fun......I had to through in these cute pictures of Avery.
